Program Policies
These guidelines help our classes run smoothly and ensure a great experience for every child.
Billing & Payment
Tuition for the first four classes ($160) is due at the time of registration.
Parents will be invoiced on the first day of each month.
Payments received after a 7-day grace period will incur a $15 late fee.
Non-Payment
Accounts more than two weeks past due may result in your child’s spot being offered to a family on the waitlist.
All outstanding balances must be paid before re-enrollment.
Cancellation & Withdrawal
Families may withdraw from the program with 30 days’ written notice.
Tuition is not prorated for mid-month withdrawals unless initiated by the instructor.
If the instructor cancels the remainder of the semester, unused tuition will be refunded.
Classes require a minimum number of registered students in order to run. If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment, it may be cancelled. In this case, you will be notified promptly, and all tuition and fees you have paid for that class will be fully refunded.
Make-Up Classes
If the instructor cancels a class (illness, weather, emergency), a make-up date will be offered or a tuition credit will be issued.
Absences due to illness or personal schedule conflicts are not guaranteed a make-up, but students may attend another age group’s class if space allows.
Illness Policy
Children should be fever-free and symptom-free (vomiting, diarrhea, contagious illness) for at least 24 hours before returning to class
If your child becomes ill during class, you will be contacted for immediate pick-up.
No refunds or credits for illness-related absences, but make-ups may be possible if space allows.
Weather & Emergencies
If Oak Hill United Methodist Church Preschool is closed due to weather or emergency, after-school classes will also be canceled.
Make-up dates will be offered when possible; otherwise, tuition credit will be applied.
Classroom Behavior
Participation is never forced. It’s completely normal for some children to watch before they join in — observation is part of learning, and I follow the First Steps in Music philosophy of letting each child participate when they’re ready.
If behavior becomes unsafe or disruptive, I will connect with the parent/guardian to discuss solutions.
Photos & Videos
Photos or short videos may be taken during class for program use (flyers, website, social media). For privacy and safety, I will never post identifiable images of students without obscuring their faces (by cropping, blurring, or covering).
If you prefer your child not be photographed AT ALL, please let me know in writing.
Safety & Pick-Up
Only authorized adults (listed on your enrollment form) may pick up your child.
Please arrive on time for pick-up at 2:00 PM.
Food & Allergies
No food will be served during class.
If your child has allergies, please notify me during enrollment so we can maintain a safe environment.
🎶Thank you for helping us create a safe, fun, and musical space for all our students!🎶
